Introduction
Institute of Science and technology (IST) is
a celebrating it's 18th anniversary this year. Over the last decade, IST has earned local and global reputation by creating highly
qualified Computer experts, Scientists, Business Experts of the highest
potential. Our objectives is to empower the younger generation and make a contribution to the nation to help uplift the progress is
business, technology and also to formulate policy for over all development of the
country. We pledge to ensure the quality of life by ensuring the quality
of the education. The Institute is regulate by a strong Governing Body
consisting of eminent Professors of Dhaka University and Subjects Experts.
History and
Background
- Established in 1993- the first Institute in Bangladesh conducting honours in CS under National University.
- Inaugurate in presence of the Nobel Laureate Professor Dr.Abdus Salam & by the then Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
- A non-profit, non-government,
non-political Institute.

Admission Eligibility
B.Sc. in CSE / ECE / BBA
- S.S.C. and H.S.C. or Equivalents with CGPA 2.00 or higher.
- GCE- at least 3 subjects in “O” Level and 2 Subjects in “A” Level , should have at least 3 B-Grade and 2 C-Grade.
- Diploma Engineering, Diploma in Commerce as approved by the National University.
M.Sc. in Computer Science
- 4-years Bachelor's degree in CSE or equivalent academic programs from the National University or any Private or Public University.
MBA
- 4-years BBA degree / B.Com (Hons.) / M.Com from the National University or any Private or Public University.
Diploma Engineering in Computer and Telecommunication
- S.S.C. or Equivalent with at least GPA 2.5.
Admission Procedure
Application for admission in prescribed National University’s form should be submitted at IST office with Tk.250 (non refundable) as application fee. Form is available at IST. For Diploma course the cost of admission form is Tk.60. Filled up form should be attached with the followings:
- 4 copies of Passport-size Color Photograph.
- 2 copies of Stamp-size Color Photograph.
- Photocopy of all of the educational educational certificates and mark sheets.
- Original copy of mark sheets should be submitted when required .
