Requirements for Bachelor's Program A. Academic 1. At least 12 years of education (HSC equivalent).
B. Language Proficiency 1. Most University require minimum TOEFL CBT score over 213 or TOEFL iBT score over 79-80 or IELTS (academic) score of 6.0 with no band score less that 5.5.
C. Course Length 1. Diploma Degree: Approx. 2 years of full time study 2. Bachelor Degree: Approx. 3 years of full time study 3. Bachelor Degree (Honours): Approx. 4 years of full time study
Requirements for Master's Program A. Academic 1. At least 16 years of education.
B. Language Proficiency 1. Most University require minimum TOEFL CBT score over 240 or TOEFL iBT score over 94-95 or IELTS (academic) score of 6.5 with no band score less that 6.0.
C. Course Length 1. Master Degree: 2 years of full time study. 2. Doctoral Degree: 3 years of full time study (4 to 5 years for Medical Science).

B. Living & Other Expense in NZ$ 1.Accommodation, Food, cloth, transport, travel, telephone & incidental cost approximately NZ$12,000 - NZ$14,000 per year. C. Accommodation Expense in NZ$ 1.Halls of residence or student hostels: Cost: around $200 per week. 2. Home stay or private board: Cost: around $180 per week. 3. flatting: Cost: bond, plus around $120 per bedroom per week. D. Health Insurance in NZ$ 1. International students must have adequate arrangements for health & travel insurance. 2. Insurance cost is: NZ$399 per year or NZ$33.25 per month. 3. Other Information A. Working in New Zealand 1. Students can apply for permission to work once they start their course on a full time above one year student visa. 2. With permission you can work up to 20 hours per week during course time. During vacation, you are allowed to work full time. 3. On-campus jobs do not provide enough funds to cover your tuition or living expenses. 4. Details information about work permit see-www.immigration.govt.nz B. Jobs in New Zealand 1. The job areas are: Fast food catering, Wait Bar Staff, Childcare or Nanny, convenient store sales clerk, Translation, Computer work, tutor. 2. Average wages (per hour-casual time): a. Childcare/Nanny: $2.5 - $3.0 per hour. b. Customer Services : $15-$19 per hour depending on experience. c. Restaurant Service Staff: $11-$13 per hour, plus tips. d. Accountant: $30-40 dependent on experience. e. CAD technicians: 18-25 per hour dep. on experience. f. Office staff: $16 to $24 per hour. g. Food Demonstrator: $12 per hour.
C. How to Apply to The University 1. Check with the departments to see if there is a closing date for your application. 2. You should write directly to the Institution's Admission Office for detailed application information and forms. 3. You can also download application form from university website. 4. Some universities have an on-line application facility. 5. Admission Office will inform you about the documentation, translation, and visa requirements. 6. You should start at least one year in advance to compile the necessary information and documentation. 7. The decision of the institution is usually announced within approximately six to eight months of the application deadline.
D. Supporting Documents 1. Completed Application Form 2. English version of your all educational documents including mark sheet. 3. School/College leaving certificate. 4. Application fee payment document. 5. English language (TOEFL or IELTS) tests result. 6. Photocopy of your passport. 7.Medical and Chest X-ray Certificate (NZIS 1007).
E. Credit Transfer Facility 1. Students may apply for credit transfer program at undergraduate or postgraduate level in New Zealand. 2. The maximum amount of credit that may be granted normally is not greater than 50% of the course. 3. Most of the New Zealand universities consider minimum "B" grade for acceptance. 4. You have to submit the following documents to your target university: a. Your application form for the Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework program. b. Official copies of your academic transcript. c. Also include an official letter from head of the school/department of your university, from where you have already completed the courses. d. Detailed course outlines (Official Copy) including subject descriptions, methods of teaching and assessment, reading lists, number of hours of teaching etc. e. The academic level you are studying (e.g. First Year, Second Year etc.). f. How many credits you have completed. g. An explanation of the grading system used at your institution. h. Information on the total units of study requirement ( i.e. how many credits are required) for the completion of the degree.
